A long way from it's Eastfield (Glasgow) home, 25011 is seen in Derby Locomotive Works on 5th August 1978. This was the very last 25/0 to visit the works. Note the 'Peak' bogies in the foreground.
Quite how 25018 came to be in this rather battered state is not known. The locomotive is seen in Glasgow Works.

Class 25/1 followed on from Class 25/0. The most noticeable changes in appearance are the roof mounted air horns on either side of the former headcode box and the lack of any fairing around the buffers. 25037 is seen hard at work at Preston (above). A batch of Class 25/2s were also built with this style of body as displayed by 25235 (below).
