25 037

With five months service remaining 25037 is seen at Preston with a ballast working on 10th August 1986.

Many erstwhile Scottish examples found themselves on Summer Saturday Cambrian duty during 1983 and 1984. The first loco hauled service train of 1984 (0744 Ex Shrewsbury) is seen at Aberystwyth on 26th May 1984. 037 has 25315 for company. Note 'The Rat Roadshow On Tour 84' headboard. This still appears on preserved railways when a 25 is out!

The incredible sight of 25s at Tenby. It is widely believed that this was the very first time the class had worked to this resort. The train was the 0600 charter from Kidderminster which 037 worked with fellow Ex Scottish (and now preserved) 25059. Engineering work near Llanelli meant the stabling point was out of use for the weekend so the normal practice of a loco change could not take place.
