In BR Service.
25 322 leads 25 277 into Machynlleth on 9th July 1983 with the 14:00 Aberystwyth - Shrewsbury service.
During 322's stint as a training locomotive at Holbeck Depot in Leeds 25 322 acquired two tone green livery and was put to work on the 08:25 Leeds - Carlisle on 24th February 1990. As well as provision for train heating purpose 47 422 was provided as a back up in case things went wrong. In the event the 47 had a very easy day as the 25 performed faultlessly!
On 27th October 1990 the locomotive powered a leg of Pathfinder Tours "Rylestone Cowboy" from Stockport. here is the scene after 47 826 had arrived before handing over to the 25. Unfortunately Stockport box had not realised some of us rather wished to board at this point!
4 months later witnessed the final working for 25 322 before final withdrawal. here is the scene at Bangor on the return leg of the "Rat Requiem" on 30th March 1991.
